BlackBerry® FAQ's

Q: Apart from live, secure email with attachment viewing, what else will a BlackBerry® provide
my users with?

A: BlackBerry® provides a complete wireless extension of your PC’s email. Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, Notes and sent items will update wirelessly both to and from the device. For example, add a contact to your BlackBerry® device and it will be added automatically over the air to your email client, and vice versa - no cables, no local synchronisation and no client side software to maintain.

Q: What other “value add” software is available?

A: The Sat Nav software is very popular as it links to your contact records and helps you to find your route to your destination. We also have many bespoke packages eg Legal packages for Law firms, Accountancy packages for finance etc. Please contact us for your particular requirements.

Q: Can I use my BlackBerry® Abroad

A: Yes. It was the international travelling community that fuelled the growth in BlackBerrys by being able to access and respond to emails during their travels. There are very few countries where BlackBerrys cannot get the correct mobile coverage (GPRS).

Q: What is so addictive that they are sometimes referred to as CrackBerrys?

A: This relates to the increase in responsiveness to information.

Q: Will I need training to use my BlackBerry®?

A: We can provide training if you need it. It is such an easy self learn device, that a training requirement is unlikely. We suggest the users get familiar with it for the first few weeks and we offer intermediary training after that. This way the users really get to know the quick short cuts. We can be contacted at any time by anyone if you have any usage questions.

Q: How do I set up my BlackBerry® Internet Service device?

A: New Users need to create a user name, password and log on to Mobile Network. (NB: You will need the IMEI number and the PIN number to do this. These can be found either on the box your BlackBerry® box it arrived in, or under the battery). Comprehensive user guides are provided.

A: We’ll leave that question for the marketers to answer. There has been Apple, Orange, Apricot and now BlackBerry®… we’ll let you imagine what may come next.

A: The BlackBerry® would have all information wiped clean after reporting the device lost/stolen. It takes no more than 7 minutes from receiving the call. Access passwords can be used and we also supply bespoke security software depending on the level if security need.
